Codex
Connect Codex to mastermem with hooks and MCP.
Install
In the dashboard open Connect a tool and pick Codex. Run the line it shows (macOS and Linux) and paste the device
token when asked:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/mastermem/mastermem-claude/main/install.sh | sh -s -- codex https://mastermem.comThe token is never part of the command, so it stays out of your shell history. For a script, set MASTERMEM_TOKEN
instead.
Then start Codex, type /hooks and trust the mastermem hooks.
The installer downloads the small helper mastermem-hook, adds the hooks to ~/.codex/hooks.json and the MCP
server to ~/.codex/config.toml (or $CODEX_HOME), with a backup of each file it changes. The token goes into a
file only you can read (~/.config/mastermem/codex.json), never into the Codex config.
Uninstall
~/.config/mastermem/bin/mastermem-hook uninstall codexOn macOS the helper is in ~/Library/Application Support/mastermem/bin/. Then sign the device out in the dashboard
under Team settings, Devices.
