In the dashboard open Connect a tool and pick Cursor. Run the line it shows (macOS and Linux) and paste the device token when asked:

The token is never part of the command, so it stays out of your shell history. For a script, set MASTERMEM_TOKEN instead.

Then in Cursor open Settings, Tools & MCP, click Connect next to mastermem and sign in.

The installer downloads the small helper mastermem-hook and adds the hooks to ~/.cursor/hooks.json and the MCP server to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, with a backup of each file it changes. The token goes into a file only you can read (~/.config/mastermem/cursor.json), never into the Cursor config.

~/.config/mastermem/bin/mastermem-hook uninstall cursor

On macOS the helper is in ~/Library/Application Support/mastermem/bin/. Then sign the device out in the dashboard under Team settings, Devices.
